Nikon D3200 Review
Despite its missing features, the Nikon D3200 is a good choice for an entry-level DSLR. By omitting these features, this camera can offer impressive image quality at a decent price.
Pros:
- The D3200 provides great image quality at a good price
Cons:
- The camera lacks many of the connectivity features of its competitors

The Nikon D3200 is the company's latest entry-level DSLR. Announced in April 2012, it replaces the best-selling D3100 and like that model, makes a number of key improvements. - Manual audio level control with meters

Nikon D3200 Review: A Mega Boost in Resolution
While the D3200 may be Nikon's entry-level DSLR, its 24.2 megapixel resolution sensor makes it the highest resolution cropped sensor camera in the entire Nikon fleet. With its predecessor carrying only 14.2 megapixels it's clear that Nikon chose to go for high resolution versus high ISO performance...
Pros:
- Good video and images
- Plenty of resolution for crops
- Light and compact
Cons:
- Quirks in video start process
- Some noise at higher ISO
- Distortion Control feature limits burst frames

Nikon D3200 Review
Without a doubt, the Nikon D3200 is a very impressive little camera. Despite the fact that it is targeted at beginners and those upgrading from a point and shoot camera, the D3200 can deliver superb high resolution images that closely rival even some of the higher-end offerings from Nikon.

Nikon D3200 Review
Nikon is to be lauded for offering a 24.2-megapixel DSLR for less than 700 bucks. This is first and foremost a still camera, and as such does a very solid job.
Pros:
- 24-megapixel APS-C sensor
- High-quality stills
- 4 fps and full HD video at 30 fps
Cons:
- Kit lens doesn't do the sensor justice
- Noisy videos with high ISOs

Nikon D3200
Having already launched two professional-grade DSLRs in the shape of the D4 and D800 earlier this year, Nikon has turned its attention to the entry-level end of the market with the launch of the D3200.
Pros:
- Small and easy to use
- Excellent image quality
- Noise well controlled throughout ISO range
- External mic input adds to movie appeal
Cons:
- Guide Mode will only 'guide' you so far
- No internal AF motor
- Some minor issues with monitor quality

With the D3200, Nikon is likely to continue the success of the D3100 into 2012 and beyond. It's a shame that fairly large niggles, such as the quality of the screen, prevents this from being the perfect beginner camera... but it's almost there.
