Nikon D3200
The D3200 is a very enjoyable camera to use for beginner photographers. If only the LCD screen was more colour accurate and the automatic focusing in video a little less twitchy, we'd have no qualms in recommending it wholeheartedly.
Pros:
- Lightweight and fairly compact
- ideal as a first SLR
- Very good image quality
- Strong video quality
- External microphone input
Cons:
- Screen is not particularly colour accurate
- No automatic-exposure bracketing
- Relocation of record button isn't as intuitive as earlier cameras
- JPEG images straight out of the camera can be a little soft

Nikon D3200
The Nikon D3200 set tongues wagging when announced last month. Its headline-grabbing 24-megapixel sensor promised to be unlike anything the entry-level DSLR market had seen before. But in a world where the megapixel isn't always king, can the D3200 deliver across the board, and, more importantly, is...
Pros:
- Excellent image quality
- Guide mode useful for beginners
- Full HD movie capture (plus external mic input)
- great battery life
Cons:
- LCD too cold/cyan
- pricey for an entry-level model
- autofocus is the same old system - Sony A65 offers better performance
- no autofocus for older non-AF-S lenses
- flash too eager to pop up in auto modes when not always necessary

Great Camera
This camera is amazing. Its light and takes great pictures. It works great in any light condition. The only downsides I can find are the lack of a built in autofocus motor, and the autofocus motor is audible if used when recording video. However these are small issues on an otherwise solid camera.

Amazing camera with good features
The pictures on this cam are crisp, true to colour and beautiful, the videos are amazing with great sound. I love the view finder, and the Modes are quite useful. The LCD screen is so crystal-clear hat you can see the quality of your pictures right there and then, the camera size and grip is...

Probably the best entry level DSLR
Great camera. Easy to use and handle. Lots of available lenses. Takes excellent night time photographs when paired with a quick lens (eg: AF-S Nikkor 35mm 1:1.8G). Also, excellent artistic photographs using long exposure and bulb settings. Daytime photographs are excellent, as expected.
Pros:
- Easy to use
- Compact
- Build quality
Cons:
- Battery life

Nikon D3200 review
By all accounts, Nikon had a great year in 2011, topping both the DSLR and compact camera charts. The former came via the Nikon D3100 , the company's entry-level offering with a 14.2 million pixel sensor, which is a great way in for those looking to get serious about their photography.

For quality of product and of image, and for the price, I have to give this 5 stars. In my opinion, the best DSLR under $500.00 bar none. The Canon Rebels are nice, and I own one, but the D3200 is a bit more user friendly, and the images a bit more sharper. As far as the lens goes, Nikon quality.

Nikon D3200 Review
Without a doubt, the Nikon D3200 is a very impressive little camera. Despite the fact that it is targeted at beginners and those upgrading from a point and shoot camera, the D3200 can deliver superb high resolution images that closely rival even some of the higher-end offerings from Nikon.
