Nikon D3200 Review
If you are planning to step up from a digital compact camera to a DSLR, then a likely option to consider would be entry-level digicams from the likes of Canon or Nikon. Last year, we reviewed the EOS 1100D , the base model from Canon and it was a decent camera that would be an ideal choice, if Canon...

Small, lightweight, and inexpensive, the D3200 is easily the best entry-level DSLR on the market.
The D3200's most exciting new feature is clearly the new 24-megapixel image sensor, which is partly responsible for the camera's strong improvement in sharpness over the D3100. Sadly, when it comes to image quality, the excitement ends there.

Nikon D3200 review
An entry-level SLR with a truly pro-quality sensor, but the Nikon D3200's price may be too rich for beginners

Nikon D3200
The Nikon D3200 ($699.95 direct with 18-55mm lens) is the company's entry-level D-SLR, and as such offers a wealth of features that should appeal to photographers in search of their first interchangeable lens camera .
Pros:
- Compact
- Good quality at high ISOs
- Guide Mode for beginners
- Continuous video autofocus
- Mic input
Cons:
- Small pentamirror viewfinder
- Fixed LCD
- Kit lens could be better

Nikon D3200 Review
Nikon is to be lauded for offering a 24.2-megapixel DSLR for less than 700 bucks. This is first and foremost a still camera, and as such does a very solid job.
Pros:
- 24-megapixel APS-C sensor
- High-quality stills
- 4 fps and full HD video at 30 fps
Cons:
- Kit lens doesn't do the sensor justice
- Noisy videos with high ISOs

Nikon D3200
Having already launched two professional-grade DSLRs in the shape of the D4 and D800 earlier this year, Nikon has turned its attention to the entry-level end of the market with the launch of the D3200.
Pros:
- Small and easy to use
- Excellent image quality
- Noise well controlled throughout ISO range
- External mic input adds to movie appeal
Cons:
- Guide Mode will only 'guide' you so far
- No internal AF motor
- Some minor issues with monitor quality

With the D3200, Nikon is likely to continue the success of the D3100 into 2012 and beyond. It's a shame that fairly large niggles, such as the quality of the screen, prevents this from being the perfect beginner camera... but it's almost there.

Nikon D3200 Review
If you are someone eager to get your hands dirty with photography, but cannot afford to spend a lot, the D3200 is a great starter camera. The AF-S 18-55mm VR lens is not all that bad either in good lighting, but at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.
Pros:
- Cheap price
- 24 megapixel sensor renders low noise and great detail
- Good movie quality
Cons:
- ISO performance tops out at 6400
- Flash performance not good for close-up shooting
- Tiny body doesnt balance well with pro-grade lenses

Nikon D3200 review
Following on from its predecessor, the Nikon D3100 , though not replacing it, the brand new Nikon D3200 has upped the ante for entry-level DSLRs, thanks to its show-stopping 24-megapixel sensor.
Pros:
- Helpful Guide Mode
- Full HD vid with external mic
- Excellent picture quality
Cons:
- Slightly pricey
- Flash can pop up needlessly
- LCD screen could be better
