This is great dslr for starters, missing only bracketing option but that's not so much of a problem.

Excellent photographic results
Decent deal by Pixmania on this marvellous bit of kit, only gripe the manual was in French, but English version on the disc all two hundred pages of them which I downloaded to my Kindle and iPad.

Great Camera for the beginner & expert
My wife wanted a DSLR Camera & I found this on Amazon. Both lens that came with the camera do not have "VR" built in. So at first the pictures came out blurry. After a few days they came out fine. I went ahead & replaced them with lens with "VR" & this has done away with any shakes.
Pros:
- Great price & Startter kit
Cons:
- None

"Great camera"
I've wanted a decent camera for a long time, looking around for ages came across the Nikon. I love everything about it, easy to use but that may be as I'm a quick learner, but everything is set out in a clear way.
Pros:
- Picture and video quality
- Easy to use
Cons:
- No swivel screen

For quality of product and of image, and for the price, I have to give this 5 stars. In my opinion, the best DSLR under $500.00 bar none. The Canon Rebels are nice, and I own one, but the D3200 is a bit more user friendly, and the images a bit more sharper. As far as the lens goes, Nikon quality.
