good buy

upgraded to the 3200 from the D70. like the vid capability. although I have AF lens it appears that the 3200 only functions with one of my lens. don't know why that is; will continue to work with the cam to see if this can be corrected or maybe it is something I'm not doing correctly.

still an amazing camera

If your thinking of going from a smart phone or a point and shoot cam you cant go wrong with this, yes it quite old now and there have been a couple of updates in the range but this is still the best one ,other cameras seem to have gone for features over image quality which is what you get with this...

Great For Family vacation

For almost 2 years I have been using D3200 with both lenses 18-55 and 55-200 is has remarkable color caption when natural light is available. while in low light you will not get the best results but still it is in the good range. for this price you get very good results

Nikon D3200

? We've been fans of most Nikon entry-level digital SLRs since the D40 debuted back in 2006. As the latest addition to this popular line, the Nikon D3200 increases the resolution significantly with a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor. Do consumers and novice photographers really need that much resolution?
Pros:
  • High resolution allows cropping
  • Good performance in low light
  • Compact and comfortable, highly portable
  • Fast and responsive, just begs to take pictures
  • Quiet shutter is great for candids, Compact, comfortable and highly portable body, Good ergonomics, with even more well-positioned external...
Cons:
  • Mediocre kit lens
  • Might be too small for some
  • No bracketing
  • Narrow flash coverage
  • Matrix metering tends to overexpose, Some users with larger hands (or those used to bigger DSLRs) may find camera and controls too small, Mediocre results with kit lens
  • soft corners and noticeable geometric...

Nikon D3200 Review

Despite its missing features, the Nikon D3200 is a good choice for an entry-level DSLR. By omitting these features, this camera can offer impressive image quality at a decent price.
Pros:
  • The D3200 provides great image quality at a good price
Cons:
  • The camera lacks many of the connectivity features of its competitors

Great camera!

Purchased from a third party seller for a steal of a deal! Camera works perfectly. Image quality is good. Very similar to my D3300. It doesn't have the effects menu and I think low light performance may be a little worse. But those are the only noticeable differences. Menu also looks different.
