Nikon D3100 review

A very solid performer, but lacks a killer feature to make it stand out from the pack

Nikon D3100

Get super pictures right out of the box with this one. I'm an experienced photographer that was tired of hauling heavy gear around. The 15-55mm is also very good and light. But get the 35mm f 1.8. It will become your favourite lens. Trust me!

Small and light! You will take this camera with you; All the features you are going to need

Not really; You get More than you pay for with this camera

A high end camera

This is loaded with new cmos image sensor and image processing engine to provide crystal clear pictures and comes with a guiding manual too to make things easier for novice and newbies. It contains 14.2 megapixels and 3 inch lcd display with a powerful cmos sensor.

Nikon D3100

Have only had this camera a week so still learning what all it's capable of doing. The automatic features are pretty easy to understand and operate. Camera has trouble autofocusing sometimes when taking pictures using LCD screen and pictures come out fuzzy.

Easy To Use; Good Image Quality; Quiet

Poor autofocus with LCD; Short Battery Life

Nikon D3100 review

Falling into line just above Nikon's other entry-level D3000 DSLR, the Nikon D3100 has some fresh features that make it a very attractive DSLR option for photographers who are starting out.

This is an adequate camera, and a great spare body for my purposes, but probably pretty good for first-time DSLR owners.

This camera is just a second body that I carry around in the event something bad happens to my primary camera. It is also handy during those times when not changing lenses back and forth is desirable.

It is VERY reliable; reasonably fast; and a good; compact DSLR

Hmmm..; It does what it is designed to do pretty well, but is just plain lackluster

If you've already decided on an entry-level DSLR, the chances are you'll be considering Nikon and Canon. The Nikon D3100 is an excellent all-rounder, and well worth the money.

Despite sitting at the low end of Nikon's digital SLR range, the Nikon D3100 is an excellent camera; It features similar styling to much more expensive cameras, with an oversized handgrip, and it's a robust and well made solution; The kit lens is particularly impressive.

The Nikon D3100 is competing in an increasingly crowded market, and it struggles to differentiate itself; It's good, yes, but there are also impressive options available from Canon, Olympus and others.

Not only good.....but also some MORE

Best in its class as compared with another model of some other DSLR manufacturer. It was practically found that Nikon D3100 able to take any picture with low light due to its high performance shutter speed & internal photo processing software.

I was a little nervous about the D3100 but as I read the the instruction book it all came together...I just need a couple of lenses and I'll be set.
