Can I have two?

I got this camera for Christmas and I am loving it. In the specs it lists the battery being able to take up to 550 photos, but I got over $900 and with 2 bars remaining. It is great having the extra lens because the 55mm sometimes just doesn't make it. And to put it all together it is simple to use.

Awesome Camera

Very nice DSLR for a person who is looking forward or considering to take your photography further to higher levels. I bought this camera with the twin lens kit from Chermside yesterday. This is my first camera but I am totally loving every pictures i am taking in my new Nikon.

Zooming? we are talking about a DSLR here, not a tiny sensor P&S camera. If you don't know what you are talking about, don't make such stupid, joke of the 21st century comments. DSLR doesn't deal in Number X zoom, it uses the term focal length to specify its reach, the 18-55mm lens that comes with a...

Nikon D3100

If you've already decided on an entry-level DSLR, the chances are you'll be considering Nikon and Canon. The Nikon D3100 is an excellent all-rounder, and well worth the money.

Awesome camera!!

This camera is user friendly and is a great camera for someone who loves to take photographs. My husband who does part-time professional photography work has even taken my camera along for jobs and loved what he was able to get out of it. It's a steal for the money and I highly recommend it.

Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; High ISO Performance

Great camera if you don't know anything about photography or DSLR'S

For being a complete noob to photography, the D3100 was a great start. I wasn't so into all the cool little things and the spec stuff, i just needed something easy to use. Picture quality is pretty good, 1080p video is nice, along with the 14 mega pixels.

Nikon D3100 DSLR Review

The D3100 is Nikon's replacement for the D3000. Aimed squarely at the entry-level market, it's certainly going to be a wake-up call for other manufacturers.

Good exposure for high contrast scenes; 14.2MP of resolution; which is extremely high for an entry-level camera; Extremely user-friendly for beginners

Simplified buttons make it hard to get to key features quickly; No stereo microphone input socket; High

Nikon D3100

The 14.2-megapixel Nikon D3100 is a great entry-level digital SLR, and at $699.95 (list, with 18-55mm lens) it's the least-expensive D-SLR to capture 1080p video. It also includes a feature no other D-SLR has-continuous autofocus during video recording, which makes the D3100 feel like a camcorder...

Inexpensive; Great image quality; Large 3-inch LCD; Continuous autofocus during still and video shooting; Helpful Guide mode for new users; Small body (for a D-SLR)

Audible noise from lens when refocusing during video recording; No microphone input

Nikon D3100

The D3100 is a refinement of the D3000 which now sits at the low-end of Nikon's entry-level DSLRs. The notable changes are a 14 megapixels sensor and 1080p video capability with autofocus. It is a relatively compact DSLR with the most basic feature set.

Very low image noise; Excellent white-balance; Conservative metering; Accurate autofocus system; Short shutter-lag; Good shot-to-shoot speed; Excellent time-to-first-shot; Generally good ergonomics; Full HD video with autofocus; Good build quality; Easily usable with gloves on

Slow autofocus; Uneven color response; Slight image softness; LCD glare when settings are changed; Live-View not exposure-priority; Microphone records camera noise; Impossible to setup video framing; Limited interface control; No exposure bracketing; Odd Auto ISO behavior; Exposure steps always 1/3...
