Very useable little camera
After a lifetime in commercial photography I decided to treat myself to a digital toy. As a previous Nikon film camera owner I found that I can use my old AI-S lenses in Manual mode without too much bother. But the convenience of using the 18-55mm kit lens with 'auto-everything' is great.
Pros:
- Can use AI-S lenses

- Great Picture Quality

Awesome Camera
Very nice DSLR for a person who is looking forward or considering to take your photography further to higher levels. I bought this camera with the twin lens kit from Chermside yesterday. This is my first camera but I am totally loving every pictures i am taking in my new Nikon.

NIKON D3100 + AF-S DX 18-55 mm VR Lens
a very good companion to our nikon d5000. easy controls, lightweight and obviously takes the same accessories. the option to use the clear screen or the viewfinder is great as is the guide settings.

Good Value with the 55-300mm
Very easy to use. The guide is also a good teaching tool. Have used it to shoot both hi-speed ie Pacific gulls in flight along with portraits. Good entry level DSLR. You might want to buy the 18 - 105mm lense to add to your kit along with a speedlight flash.

I read a few reviews before I purchased this camera, which were all very positive. I have no regrets at all buying this camera, and it was just the thing to get me back into SLR photography after a 30 year break. Got a good deal in my view at ￡350 GBP with the 18-55 Nikkor lens ($545 USD approx)
Pros:
- Easy to use, great results
- The built in guide is useful, especially for a novice
- The price is good for an entry level camera and I can see it lasting me quite a while
- Although calling 'entry level' is a bit deceiving as it is capable of producing, as far as I can see, perfectly professional...
Cons:
- Perhaps an infra red option for the remote as the older version used to have, but that's not a how stopper as there are plenty of good value wireless remotes out there
- I can't think of anything bad to say about it to be honest as I'm loving using it

Great starter camera
This is my first dslr camera and it's great, the built in guide mode really helps you learn. Buying it in this kit gives you everything you need to get started, would recommend this to friends.

Love This Camera
I purchased this camera to take on vacation. I take a lot of pictures, but am not an expert my any means. This camera is easy to use and take clear pictures. Anybody that purchases this camera will be happy with the results!

Nikon D 3100- value for money
A beginner thinks about the rate and performance and the ease in operation. This camera got a mode where learning is possible. The clarity of the picture is good. High ISO enables to pictures in low light.
