Excellent for the beginner who wants to learn DSLR photography
I bought this camera because I wanted to see if I was interested in DSLR photography. I've been using the camera for a few weeks now and I really love it. It was inexpensive compared to higher end models but has excellent image quality and allows me to learn the skills of DSLR photography.

- Lite plastig

Great 2nd Body
I purchased this camera as a low cost backup to my D7000, and for when I want a 2nd body for quick lens changes. I couldn't be happier with it. No it doesn't have all the features of my D7000, and I am really missing the second dial for changing the aperture when in Manual mode, but the image...
Pros:
- Easy To Use
- Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus
- Fast Shutter Speed
- Good Image Quality
Cons:
- Noisy At High ISO
- Small LCD Screen

Nikon D3000 DSLR
The D3000 is designed to appeal to photographers graduating from point-and-shoot compacts, and fits into Nikon's DSLR line-up at the bottom, beneath the all-singing, all-dancing (well ok, it doesn't sing or dance, but it can shoot video) D5000.

Nikon D3000 review
Nikon D3000 SLR camera review : The launch of the Nikon D3000 was inevitable. The arrival of the D5000 had made it clear that the possibility to bring out another model ranked slightly below was still wide open.

Nikon D3000 camera
What an amazing camera ! The Nikon D3000 is the first dSLR I've owned, and I'm very pleased with it. I stepped up from the average point and shoot camera and film SLR's to dSLR's. I used to think dSLR's were too bulky and sort of…ugly. Yeah I said it.

Nikon D3000 DSLR Digital Camera Review
It offers the complete gamut of usability from point-and-shoot simplification right through to more advanced manual control and image design expected of a DSLR and produces a standard of image that far outperforms anything a digital compact could produce.
