Nikon D3000 Review
For a great price like $600, the Nikon D3000 is an excellent value, especially if you are ready to move into more advanced photographic waters. Once you start acquiring the lenses, a few years down the road you can replace the body and still have the glass.
Pros:
- Excellent image quality
- Auto modes for beginner
- Good in low light
Cons:
- Sluggish image buffer
- No live view
- No video recording

Nikon D3000
It is always nice to be stretched by a DSLR unit. This one from Nikon would make an ideal stepping stone for a competent DigitalCamera user before going on to a professional unit if indeed they intend to progress further.

The D3000 may not have all the latest bells and whistles feature-wise, but what it does it does extremely well. If you can live without live view and movie modes it's the perfect beginner's camera.

Nikon D3000 review Review
The 10.2-megapixel D3000 digital SLR is very much suited to beginners seeking to dip their toes further into the photographic ocean. Not only does it offer guidance on how to use it but there are full manual controls for when your know-how increases.
Pros:
- Very good kit lens
- 10.2-megapixel resolution is perfectly adequate

Easy to use, with great pictures.
Takes great pictures, with a 8 GB SD card I can take over a thousand pctures. Gives you the option of of all settings or you can do point and shoot. With both setting, for the first time shooter is very easy and for an experienced shooter all settings are easy to find and set.
