Easy to use, even forbeginners

I had been on the market for a DLSR since fall of 2009. I've always owned Nikon point and shoots so when I started reading reviews of DSLR's I obviously leaned towards Nikon. Living rural, I was unable to to run out and handle any cameras right away.

Nikon has been raising the bar on their entry-level DSLRs. While the D3000 is intended to be their most affordable model, it is using a variation of the 10MP sensor and the same AF module on the D200, which was a $1699 prosumer model that was in very high demand merely a few years ago back in 2006.

" Good for beginners! "

This camera gives my pictures a professional touch, even though I have no idea how to take a good picture. Just what I needed when taking pictures of my kids.

Fantastic bargain

I seriously think this camera is the best camera for my personal use. It has all of the features that I want, and it's priced very competitively. Pros:
  • very easy to use
  • crisp pictures
Cons:
  • none so far

Excellent for the beginner who wants to learn DSLR photography

I bought this camera because I wanted to see if I was interested in DSLR photography. I've been using the camera for a few weeks now and I really love it. It was inexpensive compared to higher end models but has excellent image quality and allows me to learn the skills of DSLR photography.
