It's an ORDINARY point and shoot machine. It emulates 18X. All results are fogy -a strange soften Photoshop effect- Beyond 10X is heavily shaky. It's not ergonomic, neither shutter button nor video record button. It's not clear it's recording or not. It's SLOW. Very slow.

Nice pics but too complicated for everyday use
I asked for a "simple" camera with video capabilities after our first son was born. My parents went above and beyond and bought this camera for us. No matter how hard I try I cannot seem to find a basic setting for everyday pictures.

Have had the camera for a few days! Photo okay but can eg not shoot the sun near the horizon. This provides only mass lens flare! Filming in 1080p and pans gives really very choppy movie (30Mb / s SDHC). Unusable for filming in 1080p, I think! Poor quality film further.

Auto setting has a pinky rosy hue in all daylight pictures. Use of camera is very complicated and the only way to get a manual is to print it out from on line which gives you a ream of pages that is ridiculous to try to carry around with you.

Terrible
Kind of expensive for a paper weight that just sits on my desk unless I need to take high zoomed pictures and feel like playing with it for 10 minutes to get a correctly focused full zoom image. I do not have a problem using a scandisk 8 gig SD card.
Pros:
- Zooms in pretty far
- fits in your pocket
Cons:
- The picture quality is terrible
- My phone takes better pictures
- Forget about taking a picture of something moving, blur city
- At full zoom, the auto focus flips out and won't lock

Blurry pictures
I am very disappointed with the S9100. I purchased at Best Buy (fortunately with a Best Buy warranty). A few month later we went on vacation and brought home only a few good pictures, the others were blurry. The Best Buy technician agreed that the pictures are not good.

Nice looking camera. Not too big or heavy. Good zoom. Picture quality very unreliable. The same shot taken with the same settings five times produced five very different images, with varying focus, brightness, colour intensity. A great proportion of the family Christmas pictures were unusable.

Unable to review at this time
I am unable to review this product..the product did not work as it had a lens error warning when turned on and froze up. returned. I returned the product and decided not to purchase another one. Evidently, the product is well liked by others.

This is my third so I must love it
Unbeatable image quality all round and especially low light rendition, unbelievable telephoto with tremendous stabilisation, great very wide angle for huge flexibility. Disappointment with Flipkart
Flipkart offered this product with 4gb memory card, cover, and Camera. They have not provided the memory card nor the refund. This is lame and Flipkart now you suck the big time. This is my last purchase with Flipkart. Camera delivered is ok and usual.
