Nikon Coolpix S3300 Digital Camera Review
The Coolpix S3300 isn't a great camera, even for only $140. The cheap lens produces some of the most distracting chromatic aberration we've seen, and overall resolution is poor as a result.
Pros:
- Accurate colors
- Dead-on white balance
Cons:
- Poor resolution
- Severe chromatic aberration

The S3300 has major drawbacks: its cheap lens produces some of the most distracting chromatic aberration we've seen, and overall resolution is poor as a result. Shot to shot speed is quite slow, ruling out action or sports shooting, and noise reduction is very destructive above the minimum ISO.

Nikon Coolpix S3300
The Nikon Coolpix S3300 is a slimline compact camera featuring a 6x optical zoom, 16 megapixel sensor, 720p HD video, Smartportrait system and Eye-Fi compatibility. Aimed at the user about town who wants a camera that can slip easily into the pocket but pack a funky punch when it's out, the Nikon...

Nikon Coolpix S3300
While those cameras do all of the work to create a panorama, the Nikon S3300 merely guides you to shoot certain photos, and then you have to stitch them together later using supplied computer software. Like most ultra-cheap cameras, there's no HDMI jack for easy viewing on an HDTV.
Pros:
- 6x zoom works well
- Very slim and lightweight
Cons:
- Disappointing photo and video quality
- Sluggish shooting
- Owner complaints of flimsiness and malfunctions
- Hard-to-see LCD screen

The Camera can not focus
So I would say that one of the most important things that a digital camera should do is "FOCUS", well that has been very hard to do. I am only able to get a close-up image in focus by using the close-up feature, but it will not focus on anything over a distance of 1 foot.

DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY this camera, We brought this camera as a replacement for our now old Sony Cyber shot, As we wanted a change and more modern looking camera thinking the 16mp would give us better photos. How wrong we were the picture quality is pathetic 80% of our close up pictures for [...] etc.
Pros:
- Good Battery Life
- Easy To Use
Cons:
- Low-Quality Pictures
- Shutter Lag
- Not Good In Low Light

Not a horrible camera
Lousy customer service from Nikon on what I thought was a pretty decent point and shoot camera. 1 year and 1 week and it died, it was 1 week out of warranty and they would not even discuss a replacement...
Pros:
- Small and compact
- 16 megapixels
Cons:
- For 16 mp sometimes the pictures were very blurry and other times quite clear, don't know why either
- The big con is how long this camera lasted
- Bought it on 4/30/12 and it died the 1st week of May 2013
- Guess what the warranty is Yep 1 year!
