I am forced to enter a title
I have had other Nikon digital cameras. All have taken excellent pictures. This is a compact and is about the same footprint (but thicker) than my cell phone. I like that it still has the optical finder. I suspect that the arm's length position (to see the LCD finder) prone to shakiness.

I bought the Nikon P6000 to replace my Fuji Finepix E-900, which, unfortunately, I lost. I have several Nikons, including a D2x, so I thought I'd try Nikon's pricey compact for my "carry everywhere" camera.
Pros:
- Cute and full featured
Cons:
- Cute and full featured mean nothing in a poor quality product
- I can find nothing to recommend in this camera
- It's even a lousy GPS unit

Nikon CoolPix P6000 review
This tech-packed stunner of a bridge camera strives to offer a perfect balance between the DSLR and compact worlds.
Pros:
- Nikon's rock-solid reputation for camera gear is reflected in the P6000′s performance: this takes bright
- noise-free 13.5-megapixel photos
- whether you're the hands-on type who wants to tweak settings manually and shoot in RAW for more flexibility in post processing
- or the no-nonsense holiday-maker...
Cons:
- If we switch our own settings to nitpicking mode, we weren't particularly impressed by the tiny viewfinder, and some of the controls are unnecessarily over-fiddly
- Also, the GPS receiver can be a touch slow to grab a satellite fix

Nikon Coolpix P6000 review
The 13.5Mp Nikon CoolPix P6000 is a compact camera pitched unashamedly at the high end of the market, an area previously dominated by arch-rival Canon, with its highly capable G9 and G10 compacts.

Nikon Coolpix P6000
DSLR camera owners have a lot to be happy about when it comes to pure camera performance, but let's face it - the size does get restrictive on many occasions. Really, do you want to be the guy with the bulky camera at family dinners or the guy who can't take those high risk shots because the camera...

I bought this camera for the GPS. It's useless. I can synch my iPod Touch in five seconds indoors to GPS. I have yet to be able to do so with this camera. Photos are excellent, but I already had good cameras. I wanted to use this for iPhoto with it's Places capability, no luck so far.

Nikon Coolpix P6000 Review
The Nikon Coolpix P6000 is a premium compact camera designed to appeal primarily to serious photographers looking for lots of control in a form factor that's more portable and convenient than a DSLR.
Pros:
- Generally solid auto focus
- Customizable interface couldn't be much better
- Pro-grade build quality
- Rich
- detailed images at lower ISOs
Cons:
- Luminance noise shows up in regular-sized prints
- GPS
- network connectivity could have both been better
- Screen and viewfinder not a great combo
- Flash recycle times measurable with a calendar
- Underwhelming battery life

Nikon Coolpix P6000 review
Nikon's eagerly awaited CoolPix P6000 is the replacement to the maker's P5000 and its P5100 upgrade. Like those earlier offerings, the 13.5 million-pixel P6000 is pitched unashamedly at the high end, but it's a market that has been dominated by arch-rival Canon, with its highly capable G-series...
Pros:
- High picture quality (at low ISOs)
- handy image stabilization
- exposure control and small, well-built body
Cons:
- Occasionally tardy auto-focus operation
- unreliable GPS operation
- Raw file not officially supported on Mac OS X
