Nikon coolpix P520
I have used this camera for about 3 weeks, the camera is real easy to use right out of the box. I have taken some night time pictures with good result. I would recommend a good tripod for night time shooting as a steadier platform. The zoom feature is great !

Resolution choice limited
Has very limited choice for megapixels- 2MP, 4MP, 8MP & 18MP. does not have anything between 8 to 18 megapixels to choose from. Review facility is not user friendly- i am trying to find how to select multiple items for deleting..
DO NOT BUY - This camera has problems.
I am on my second P520 and both of them have power shutdown and startup problems. In a given day the camera will not shutdown properly maybe 1 out of every 5 or 6 power cycles: the lens retracts and the displays turn off, but the power light stays on and from that point you can not restart the...- takes pretty good pictures
- this camera has bugs in the firmware must periodically remove battery to start up the supplied case is too small for this camera

This is an Ideal for capturing everyday moments, this digital compact camera. I am very excited; it came loaded with a plethora of functions to play with. The Easy Auto Mode automatically selects the right settings based on the shooting environment to give me the best shot.
I bought this camera to take photos of my children and family events. It has been great! Still learning all the settings! Has taken bright photos and easy to use! It is great for a beginner!
