I really like this camera!
This was bought for my wife, who is a "point & shoot" person - she's artistic and can compose nice shots, but very "technically challenged". Neither of us have ever owned Nikon or Canon, so you will see no "brand loyalty" here.
Pros:
- Better Bokeh Than Others
- Chromatic Aberation
- Color Rendition
- Color Variety
- Easy To Customize
- Sharpness

- No External Charger
- No Lens Filter Threads

Surprisingly Good, Great Price!
I was quite surprised at the high quality of images, especially from such a long range zoom. The little camera more than meets my expectations. Being a DSLR user, I got the camera for the times when I want to travel light. It is small and easy to carry. It really is a delight to carry.

"Perfect pics every time"
I was bought this as a gift. i have been very interested in photography for some time and have had quite a lot of cameras, both digital ones and film cameras! I still remember having to develop my holiday snaps! This camera has a sleek and stylish design, which is available in red and black.

Nikon Coolpix P510
I'm still not sure whether there's a good reason to have a 42x zoom lens on a compact camera. But regardless, the Nikon Coopix P510 is overall a very good full-sized superzoom, even if you never use the full zoom range. And, actually, it's probably better if you don't.
Pros:
- A fun camera to shoot with
- Overflowing with photo and movie features
- Backed by very fast shooting performance and excellent low-ISO photo quality
Cons:
- Has trouble focusing at the telephoto end
- Its low-light/high-ISO photo quality has room for improvement
- Camera feels cheaply constructed

The P510 is a well-featured little camera built around an incredible 42X zoom lens. The lens is the P510's main selling point and anyone looking for a go-everywhere camera for travel or general-purpose photography will be impressed by its versatility.
Pros:
- Extremely powerful 42x (24-1000mm equivalent) zoom lens
- Very capable optical image stabilization system
- Effective automatic CA/fringing correction
- PASM shooting modes
- Good image quality at low ISOs
- Good performance
- Continuous shooting up to 7fps (but only for 5 frames
- Intervalometer

Cons:
- Small
- pokey electronic viewfinder
- EVF/LCD switch is manual
- not automatic
- Slow f/3-f/5.9 lens
- Occasional focus hunting at telephoto settings
- Noise levels increase noticeably at ISO 800 and above
- No RAW option

Whilst I certainly would not recommend the P510 for anyone who regularly uses video record functioning it does most definitely have a number of other redeeming features that are highly desirable in a compact of its class.
