Nikon Coolpix-P510 my view
I use this for landscape and architectual photos (NYC has great Architecture). Street photography, and family photos. Great thing is it is lightweight and I don't have to carry around a lot of lenses. The con: at it longest length I have noticed that some bowing at the edge of the photo.
Pros:
- Compact
- Good Video Quality
- Great Picture Quality
- Lightweight

Nikon Coolpix P510 Review
The Nikon Coolpix P510 balances many tradeoffs: Lots of hardware features, but sub-par video. Easy-to-use controls, but poor low-light performance.
Pros:
- Nice and easy to hold – lightweight but sizeable
- with a good grip
- Zoom lens stays steady for crisp shots
- In-camera UI is incredibly easy to manipulate
- Very versatile: Shoots macro
- high-zoom
- portrait
- and landscape well – provided the lighting is decent
Cons:
- Video capabilities are limited
- Low light without flash isn't impressive
- Some features just don't pull their weight: GPS and built-in effects

Digital Camera - Nikon P510
Great Camera for the price, has a lot of functions and decent Macro and Optical Zoom. Good battery life and easy to use straight out the box. Comes with lens cap, strap etc. so all you need is a bag for it.

Nikon Coolpix P510
Nikon's been a little late to the party with its line of superzoom cameras over the last couple of years. But its latest, the Coolpix P510, crams in a huge 24-1000mm (equivalent) lens - making it the longest zoom compact on the market. That'll be enough to grab our attention, then.
Pros:
- Small body
- huge zoom range
- vibration reduction image stabilisation technology
- extra value in features such as GPS
Cons:
- Electronic viewfinder outclassed by Fujifilm HS30EXR's
- tricky to shoot at 1000mm (equivalent) with great success
- image quality is okay at best
- autofocus at longer focal lengths is a little slow
- Auto White Balance inconsistencies

Nikon Coolpix P510 review
Super-zoom cameras have had a difficult time over the past few years. They used to have a role as the stepping-stone between compact cameras and full-blown digital SLRs, and are often still called "bridge cameras" reflecting that position.
Pros:
- Zoom range
- Performance
- Handling
Cons:
- Fragile controls
- Useless GPS
- Video focusing

I would say Japanese have always played best when it comes to technology. Likewise, one of the best examples of technological presentation that Japanese firm Nikon came with is the creation of its Digital Camera, Coolpix P510 .

- Massive optical zoom
- Available with good grip
- In-camera UI can be easily manipulated
- Advanced specs
- Snappy performance
- Sharp images
Cons:
- Low light without flash isn't impressive

- No mic input

Great package for the price
So far the camera is working as advertised, learned a few things after purchase like I had to buy my own media card and for this camera the faster the card the better the quality of the shots and videos. I like the GPS feature. The best part is the 42X optical zoom and full HD movie.
Pros:
- Zoom
Cons:
- No Media Card
