We purchased this camera in July (at the London South location) to use mainly for photos of grandchildren, vacations, and pets. But it takes such awesome pictures that I am now doing photo shoots for friends and family!

Nikon Coolpix P510 Digital Camera Review
Whilst I certainly would not recommend the P510 for anyone who regularly uses video record functioning it does most definitely have a number of other redeeming features that are highly desirable in a compact of its class.

This camera takes great pictures and is easy to use.
My husband and I love this camera. He did a lot of research before we purchased this one. We love the quality of the pictures. It has several features we like. It takes black and white. It also takes pictures that are mostly black and white except for the color you want it to pick up in the picture.

Nikon Coolpix P510
Nikon's been a little late to the party with its line of superzoom cameras over the last couple of years. But its latest, the Coolpix P510, crams in a huge 24-1000mm (equivalent) lens - making it the longest zoom compact on the market. That'll be enough to grab our attention, then.
Pros:
- Small body
- huge zoom range
- vibration reduction image stabilisation technology
- extra value in features such as GPS
Cons:
- Electronic viewfinder outclassed by Fujifilm HS30EXR's
- tricky to shoot at 1000mm (equivalent) with great success
- image quality is okay at best
- autofocus at longer focal lengths is a little slow
- Auto White Balance inconsistencies

Very short acquaintance with this unit, however it seems to function well. Professional reviews dissing the utility of the long lens/autofocus may be on the mark, but in the world of reality, using a 1000mm lens (equivalent) will require a tripod regardless of what camera you're using, and I went...

Nikon P-510, well rounded Super-Zoom
You can find many good reviews about this camera on the internet, not to repeat all the good things already said. I just want to mention one feature I found very interesting, that is the 3D still photo function that really works!
