The detail is there
Please don't take the how many stars too seriously as this is my initial review. I use two DSLR cameras with super high grade lenses from Canon and Olympus so I am picky, I will attempt to be fair and only compares apples to apples and not oranges :) Pros: - Great build feels solid yet light.

Nikon Coolpix AW110 review
Nikon's latest update to its go-anywhere compact keeps its rugged rivals at arm's length. Encased in an almost full metal jacket, the AW110 feels more hard-wearing than its slightly more plasticky Panasonic FT5 and Olympus TG-2 opponents.
Pros:
- As rugged as Burt Reynolds
- Glove mode keeps your fingers toasty
- Detailed pictures
Cons:
- Weak zoom
- Lacks standard micro-USB connection

- Waterproof
Cons:
- Zoom

Excellent macro photos
This camera really impressed me. I have bought 4 camera's from Future Shop in the last 1 1/2 years. This one tips the scales. The macro photos are very clear with excellent depth of field right up to one centimeter. Regular point and shoot photos are very sharp as well.

Great Camera for the outdoor enthusiast!!
I have had this camera for about a year now and it is still going strong!! I hike with it multiple times a week and most of my hiking is off trail and includes a lot of scrambling. The camera has plenty of scratches due to tight squeezes and quite a few drops but it still takes perfect pics!!

I got this camera to take on a cruise and scuba diving excursion. It appears to be real durable and of good quality. I will put it to the test in June, but very excited about it meeting my needs as of now.

A day at the beach with Nikon's finest toughcam
If this is your first toughcam and, for some reason, you cannot find an AW100 for sale anywhere else, then by all means purchase a Coolpix AW110. This is especially relevant if you plan to use your new adventure cam for serious adventuring, like diving or climbing.

Nikon Coolpix AW110
The AW110 is a competent tough camera, but with no improvement over image and video quality since its predecessor, there is little reason for existing users to upgrade.
Pros:
- Quick and accurate GPS tagging
- Wi-Fi connectivity
- Improved waterproof credentials from previous model
Cons:
- Lens tends to fog and smudge easily
- Zoom rocker can be a bit fiddly when wearing gloves
- Fingers can easily obstruct lens
- Images appear a little flat on default settings
