Lasts forever - you'll wish it didn't
As an architectural firm we bought this to replace a Canon Ixus that got dropped one too many times on site. All it has to do is take record photographs of works. The build quality is robust - this feels very compact and like it would last a long time.
Pros:
- Durable
Cons:
- Poor Picture Quality

Nikon Coolpix AW100
The Coolpix AW100 is Nikon's first waterproof, weatherproof camera. Designed to rival the likes of the Panasonic FT3 and Olympus TG-810, this snapper is waterproof to 10 metres and comes loaded with a 28 mm wide-angle lens.
Pros:
- Waterproof (10 m)
- shockproof (1.5 m) and coldproof (-10°C
- Responsive (autofocus
- start-up
- Easy to use
- GPS works faster than in most cameras (except in built-up areas
Cons:
- Picture quality could be better
- especially from 800 ISO upwards
- Sound quality in video mode
- Videos are under-exposed when filmed indoors

Great Camera!
This waterproof Nikon has stunned many people; some friends and family have communicated to me that the product takes clear photos and has wonderful underwater videos. It's a great option and very comparable to other underwater cameras like the Canon D20 and the Olypmus 820iHs.

Nikon Coolpix AW100 review
Most of the major camera manufacturers now have an all-weather "adventure" camera in their product ranges. We've looked at a couple of them recently, specifically the Pentax Optio WG2 and the Panasonic Lumix FT4 .
Pros:
- Build quality
- Price
- Performance
Cons:
- Fiddly controls
- Useless GPS
- Image quality

low light and moving object is blurred
This camera is excellent expect the pictures taken under low light and a moving object. I tested this to take picture of a rotating Christmas tree under the week light. The picture is very blurred and is not useful. I tried to change the shooting mode and it did not help.
Pros:
- Easy to use and has GPS at this price level
Cons:
- Image under the low light and moving objects

Useful but Frivolous
I use this as a packing aid. I don't use it in the field, because I just keep the camera in a pocket. This is just to protect the camera in a suitcase or backpack. The orange color makes it easy to find in the bag. It fits the camera perfectly.

Nikon Coolpix AW100 Review: Coolpix Gets Tough
For those leading an adventurous life wishing to record it using a camera that can keep up as well as hold up, the Nikon Coolpix AW100 is a fine choice. What it is lacking in the noise-to-signal department, in somewhat flat colors and battery retention it makes up for with convenience, ease-of-use,...
Pros:
- Fun and useful motion controls
- Rugged and waterproof
- Good image stabilization
Cons:
- Pricey
- Poor battery life
- Noise at ISO 400

A waterproof and shockproof camera that's fun and comfortable to use
Nikon's ruggedised, 'all weather' AW100 camera is lots of fun to use no matter the weather or your environment. It's waterproof to 10m, drop-proof from 1.5m and it also has a built-in GPS and world map so that the coordinates of your photos are recorded.
Pros:
- Rugged design
- Comfortable to use
- Geo-tagging
Cons:
- Sometimes struggled with exposure
- Video mode not great
- LCD hard to see when outdoors

Nikon AW100 review
Consider the Nikon AW100 if you're an outdoors type that can make use of the camera's rugged design. It's waterproof and shockproof, yet it doesn't really compromise when it comes to usability.
