Nikon COOLPIX AW100 review: Hands-on
The Nikon COOLPIX AW100 is Nikon's first 'rugged' camera designed for those who lead an adventurous life and need a camera that will suitably do them proud.

low light and moving object is blurred
This camera is excellent expect the pictures taken under low light and a moving object. I tested this to take picture of a rotating Christmas tree under the week light. The picture is very blurred and is not useful. I tried to change the shooting mode and it did not help.
Pros:
- Easy to use and has GPS at this price level
Cons:
- Image under the low light and moving objects

The Nikon Coolpix AW100 is the best camera by far. It not only takes amazing underwater shots but stunning photos period. I received so many compliments from people about this camera. By far the best investment. I recommend getting the Nikon floating wrist strap as well.

Not tough at all - sending it back.
You never get a second chance to make a first impression, Nikon. We have other Nikon cameras that are great, but this one flunked big-time. We will now get to have fun with Nikon's warranty/repair program.
Pros:
- Pretty good auto exposure settings, not as good as a Canon B30
- Size is good
Cons:
- Side panel fell off less than a week after we purchased the camera at the beginning of our vacation
- Metering hard to learn

there is a serious problem
this Nikon coolpix 100 has a serious problem, you can not down load pictures onto most devices without the Battery level Icon stamped on your picture. it's okay to put them into your computer, but good luck on playing the video part, I have talked to Nikon about this and they are trying to come up...

Nikon Coolpix AW100
The Nikon coolpix has many good feature though low light performance isn't the best, the 16MP was amazing and the 1080p video was outstanding.

Nikon Coolpix AW100 review
Most of the major camera manufacturers now have an all-weather "adventure" camera in their product ranges. We've looked at a couple of them recently, specifically the Pentax Optio WG2 and the Panasonic Lumix FT4 .
Pros:
- Build quality
- Price
- Performance
Cons:
- Fiddly controls
- Useless GPS
- Image quality

Great Camera
Overall I got the camera on-sale for $250 and did a phenomenal job for that price point. For all the cool feature this camera has, it's by far one of the best options out there at it's price cost. I Highly recommend this camera for those looking to do lots of underwater activities.
Pros:
- I bought this camera a week before heading to Hawaii, as I had planned a lot of underwater activities
- It took great pictures underwater! whether it was in the shark cages, or general snorkeling
- For general picture taking, above water, the camera still more then excelled.
Cons:
- I noticed for prolonged underwater adventures
- that after about 20min
- once back on land
- opening the battery door their was a few drops of water(very very minimal) It seems like a great seal but some water did mange to get in.

Great Camera!
This waterproof Nikon has stunned many people; some friends and family have communicated to me that the product takes clear photos and has wonderful underwater videos. It's a great option and very comparable to other underwater cameras like the Canon D20 and the Olypmus 820iHs.
