This teleconverter is extremely sharp and gets the job done. Luckily I did have a lens that was compatible with it. It's my own fault for not doing slightly more research to find that some nikon lenses are not compatible with this device. Be sure to check before purchasing.

Make sure you carefully read the list of lenses that this works with on the copy of the manual available at this site. I have three very common Nikkon lenses , two of them zoom lenses, and this does not fit any of them.

The only people who have had a problem with this product have not paired it with the right lenses. ((( This TC Converter is designed for fast f/2.8 lenses. ))) I have two Nikon cameras (D810 and D500) and this 2x TC III doubles my reach and keeps the quality extremely high.

It really makes my 70-200mm lens longer and heavier. But I wanted something with more reach and this teleconverter allows me to do that.

I recently completed field testing the "new" TC-20EIII 2x teleconverter. I have never been a fan of Nikon's TC's, but have to acknowledge when someone improves a product (and improves it this dramatically). Nikon is going to make a LOT of photographers happy with this product.

It does work and do what its supposed to do but the images are softer than I expected. I read all the reviews here and was convinced it was the right way to go. Really I can't expect this one converter added to a 70-200 VRII to take the place of any "out of the box" 400mm lens!

Works great with 70 to 200 vr2, g. Focus and vibration reduction work fine. Too bad there is only a limited amount of lenses it will work with.
