Although the Netgear XAVB1004 HomePlug 200 AV kit looks fairly expensive on the face of it, the high price is because it includes one standard single-port HomePlug adaptor and one four-port adaptor, which looks like a miniature router.

Highly recommended if your disappointed with your wifi connection. Did not load the companion CD because i did not need a secure connection with this device unlike wifi.

Easy as plug and play Faster than WiFi

Needs a dedicated electrical outlet; I tried plugging my powered speaker on the same outlet and it causes interference which can be heard from the speakers; Plug my speaker alse where away from this device and interference was gone

After finding out I also needed a router, I finally got up and running. Written and instructions on the the disc are for more advanced folks than me.

So easy to use. Pluged into wall outlet and router. Then connected the other end into the wall outlet and my local devices into it and it simply worked.

Works as prescribed. For some reason the middle red light stays red more than the stays green. Almost like my Internet has slows down. Regardless my surroundsound works great with this product I can't listen to Internet radio or Spotify with no problems.

This is an absolute bargain - you get the hub and a separate powerline connector - works faultlessly and is easily fast enough to connect my Sky box, PS3 and smart telly to the house broadband without any unsightly wires across our laminate flooring. Recommended!
