Does what it should. I purchased with Arris Touchstone TM822G DOCSIS router to get rid of xfinity rental. Love that it has a on/off Wi-Fi so I can turn on only when needed just in case it is frying my brain lol.
radio death still?
The WNDR3700's were plagued with the 2.4ghz radio death, seems like they didn't fix it in the WNDR3800. Just after a year the router just locked up, rebooted, now you have to stand right next to it to get any kind of signal.- Can load 3rd party firmware
- run a RAID NAS
- 2.4ghz radio death.

Netgear WNDR3700 4 Port Gigabit Wireless N Dual Band Router
Easy setup. It performs great. Adore the guest network. Fantastic variety. None that I've located. Not exactly a con but its additional high priced than other routers, but you get what you pay for. Can definitely get this one and not need to have another router for a long although.

Awesome router, tons of features, perfect for people who like to stream
Excellent! Love the DLNA sharing - I can hook up my 2TB external right to the router and play songs on any DLNA device - xbox, ps3, android phone, smart tv, etc! Very fast - 2 bands for your selection - though I have not noticed any performance increase between the two (2ghz and 5ghz bands).
Great with the new firmware update (.44)
Until Netgear recently released an update, I was not very satisfied with this router, because it would force all connected devices to lose connection when and android device was connected. Since I have both an Android phone and tablet, this affected me a lot.- High Speed
- Dual Band
- Stability
- User-friendly admin panel and installation
- guest network
- Before the update connection dropped when Android devices were connected
WNDR3800 but with extra features like Netgear's "Clear Channel Selector" which locates less crowded wifi channels in your area, "ReadySHARE Cloud" to access and share files on an attached USB hard drive anywhere you have an Internet connection, iPhone & Android apps and more.
Brilliant router, great range, great features, havent tested streaming videos but will do very soon. has an average user interface for the router but it does the job. Had no issues with connectivity
Netgear WNDR3800 Premium Edition
The WNDR3800 was a little fickle with our test chipsets, affecting our wireless performance results. Still, for the price range it's a decent router, and it should fulfil most needs.- Gigabit Ethernet and WAN
- IPv6 support
- Good parental filtering tools
- A good range of features
- 5GHz performance could be better
- Some Intel 6300N compatibility issues
- Long waits between settings changes
