Review: Netgear Centria WNDR4700
Great for anyone who doesn't want to worry about a separate NAS device.
Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (WNDR3700)
Netgear's four-port gigabit, simultaneous dual-band WNDR3700 Wi-Fi router proved a joy to use. It was stable and glitch-free, with easy media serving. However, bliss only commenced after setup and configuration.- Simultaneous dual-band
- Media serving
- Setup and configuration rough around the edges

Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (WNDR3700)
There are a few qualities that make a router an Editors' Choice: a simple setup process, a strong feature set, and excellent throughput. Many wireless routers have one or maybe two of those features, but the Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router (WNDR3700) ($169.99, street) has them all.- Amazing throughput
- Improved setup with Genie app
- Loaded with features
- Setup process a bit slow
- Setup still requires some tech savvy
- Slow file copying via USB connection
Netgear WNDR3700 review
Netgear's WNDR3700 is an expensive wireless router with some enticing features, including dual-band wireless networking, a USB port that lets you use the router as a network storage device and a wireless guest network, so visitors can access the internet but not the rest of your network.
Netgear Takes the Title
This is the first consumer router I can unambiguously recommend to anyone. Short of business-class Cisco gear that will cost you 10x more, there is currently nothing better.- Best-in-class quality. Dual-band N, top-end CPU, RAM
- if this router doesn't work, nothing will
- Current DD-WRT builds are buggy on this hardware
- for once, run stock for better results
Just okay. Lack features wrt the pricing
Super easy to install Range is not satisfactory. Not as good add reviewed by tech savvys . 2 walls and there is no range DLNA works fine if you wish to keep the patent PC on while downloading heavy stuff . But you can't use the direct download to external device connected to the router .
Working very well
I recently set up a new wireless network for the first time. I had purchased a wireless router system to steam video but had continual drop outs and freeze issues. This purchase was to replace the previous system. Out of the box this system has performed flawlessly.- easy setup
