DOA Netgear High End Router
Wanted a fast router for multiple users. While I have been a loyal Netgear (and Dell)customer and this router was easy to setup, it died within 5 minutes. Not sure if it is the power brick or the router itself. Disappointed in quality and waiting for Dell to authorize a return.

The 802.11ac standard is here, primed and ready to blaze a trail over the air, so we're certainly seeing more and more routers capable of it. NETGEAR's R6300 is among the first routers with the 5G Wi-Fi standard, but is being first in line means it gets to be the fastest router today?
Pros:
- Great 5GHz performance
- Dual-band
- 802.11ac support
- Easy to use
Cons:
- 2.4GHz output isn't very good
- Bulky design

Netgear R6300 review
The Netgear R6300 was one of the first 802.11ac routers available to buy in the UK. It stands as the company's flagship 'ultimate performance' home router, and offers most of the features you'd expect from a comprehensive home hub.

No problems
I just purchased this router, after reading the reviews for it as well as others. I'm pleased to say that I had no problems at all setting it up right out of the box. I simply plugged it in, connected it to my modem, and I was in to the router online setup immediately.

NETGEAR R6300 Dual Band Wireless 802.11AC Router + 4-port Switch
These Broadband providers that provide you with a fibre router are not doing themselves a favor because their WiFi fibre router cannot deal with the speeds that having fiber offers. That's where this little beauty comes into play and wow what a difference.
Pros:
- finally getting the true speed out of our fibre
Cons:
- nothing

Exceeded my expectations!
Great product - provided the extra security I was looking for vs. the wireless router provided by my DSL provider, with an added bonus of a significantly stronger signal and therefore wider range of access.

About a decade ago it was reasonably normal for consumers to have one, maybe two PC per household. Often they would share the same internet connection and often the same wiring with more complex setup's really being for advanced users.

Netgear R6300
The transition from 802.11g to faster 802.11n Wi-Fi was among the slowest, most drawn-out upgrades in the history of technology. It was only officially ratified by the IEEE standards committee in 2009, but before that, we had years of unofficial "pre-n" and "draft-n" products released as...
