I had to upgrade from the 300 to this one because my games would lag when my girlfriend watched Netflix on her tablet. Plugged it in, easy setup, linked all devices and haven't had lag since. All stars given were well deserved.

Around Thanksgiving of 2014 my Linksys N router gave up the ghost (been through 3 of those). So walked into the local brick and mortar in mid December and picked this puppy up on sale for about 79.99 not expecting much. Also grabbed the matching "A6210" USB adapter for the guest room connection.
Runs solid with firmware V1.0.0.16_1.0.1

The Netgear AC1200 Dual-Band Router I bought from Office Depot about a month ago is working great. It was a bit expensive, but after reading other reviews, decided it was probably worth the speed. It does have a fast response time and so far no buffering with the 60mbs internet fiber service.

I bought the router on July 2nd from the store. As put the connection with my internet it worked great with dual band 2.4g and 5 g. My TV supports the 5 g and this gave me good watching my Netflix. I told a friend and he liked and sent to me thank you voice mail to phone.
Well, it functioned brilliantly for exactly ONE YEAR. Then I noticed that my WIFI, while available, suddenly was NOT being broadcast, meaning I could connect to it, but could not choose it among a list of available networks.
Purchased this router thinking it would be an upgrade from my old wireless N router; it was not. Range is poor, whether on 2.4 or 5ghz connection. Speed loss is very noticable with any distance from the router.
Great router held back by uninspiring packaging. I can't fault the quality here. Think of it as the V6 Camry of the router world. It carries out the assigned task without drama and without being noticed.
Quick setup, good coverage, no problem streaming multiple video data streams at once; Rock solid stable
Frankly, I preferred the previous R6200/6300 models and how they stood up, thus allowing air to pass along both sides and preventing people from laying other devices on top (switches being the most common item); Aesthetically, the R6220 is not a sight to behold either.
Damn this is a great router.. I bought this 1.5 years ago NEVER ONCE have I restarted this wi-fi!! I mean never thats amazing.. Previously i had a Tp- link wi- fi and that thing had be restarted every other day. Man netgear products are amazing.. The best wi- fi for this money..
Easy to set up and works really well. We had reached saturation point with the Virgin Media Super Hub due to the number of devices in the house. Switched the VM Hub to modem mode and connected it up to the netgear now all devices connect OK , speed and reliability has improved massively.
Purchased for a small business of 6 people; No issues setting it up, had no drops out of connection; All good after 3 weeks
