I bought this because my network was only 100mbps and wanted to have vlan for my esx server. Everything works great with vlan and also the packet capture is great with the port mirroring option ! A great product !
Pros:
- Vlan capability
- port mirroring
- a very good small solution
Cons:
- Not enough ports ..
- but enough for what I had to do

PROS: 1. Lifetime warranty, Metal chassis, Netgear reliability 2. Best 8-port VLAN web-managed switch 3. Comes with wall mounting hardware and rubber feet. CONS: 1. Almost 2x the price of a managed TP-LINK 8-port switch, which really is only slightly worse for reliability these days.

Buggy
We own two of these switches. One of them has seemed fined, but it connects a less-important set of network devices. The other switch, the one attached to a couple servers, has been buggy and problematic.

Rock-solid piece of network equipment from Netgear
Rock-solid piece of network equipment from Netgear, I had earlier model, without the management console. This one allows me to monitor the device remotely.
