Needed a POE unit for our VoIP phones, fed up with all those power packs. This unit has power on all 24 ports so seemed ideal. We fitted it to our rack and plugged everything in, all working. How easy is that.

Highly recommended if you're looking for a PoE switch
The FS728TP is a fantastic value for money switch. With PoE on al ports it's ideal for powering devices such as VoIP phones, webcams etc so that you can do away with the clutter of their individual power adaptors.

If your looking for a flexible and great value PoE layer 2 switch I can recommend the FS728TP. We installed one of these recently to integrate a couple of wireless access points into our wired network, using PoE to provide power to the access points, all over standard CAT5 cabling.

Netgear is reliable and good price
As an IP PBX integrator, I was surprised that I can found Rack-Mount product on Walmart.com. Netgear has reliable products. Warmart is reliable channel. They are a perfect match for me.

RUN!
These were rebooting for every single little change. For example, I entered "information services" in the switch info for the contact person. Applying rebooted the switch without it telling me "switch rebooting".
Pros:
- Rackmountable These feel like solidly made switches..
Cons:
- no ssh access - but I knew that part going in - what frustrates me is that the switch reboots without warning for every little change you make - even text fields which don't have any effect on any switch-port configuration.

Price
NEtwork expanding and needed a POE switch for the phones and cameras. They are a little to configure if you are using VLANs but are dependable.
