I went ahead and bought this game because of game informers review. I heard alot of mixed things so I was cautious of spending the $$. If you want a good racing game on the next gen systems to where you don't have to follow the normal racing guidelines this is it.

NFS rivals is a really enjoyable game with the best of today's (and tomorrow's) super cars. Cars are all customisable and upgradable which gives you the drive to play it more to beat your rivals. The game feels like a sexual to NFS Most Wanted, but improves on a lot of the flaws in that game.

Introduction Need For Speed Rivals is a racing game where you can take the role of a street racer or a police officer in Redview County. The aim of the game is to complete certain assignments to unlock new cars, pursuit equipment, (racers only) new paint jobs as well as upgrades for your car.

Perhaps it's the default community response only because it's made by EA or because "the old NFS (or the old anything) was better" or perhaps I am biased as Hot Pursuit 2010 is my favourite racing game, and Rivals is the most similar thing to it, too bad Hot Pursuit is not on PS4 though.

A fabulous game by ea sports. The best thing about it is that it is challenging. Not as easy as the previous versions of Nfs. I play it on my ps4 every single day. It's excellent graphics and story line gives me the feel of the game.

It's best to think of Need for Speed: Rivals as a thrill ride. Get on, scream, plead to go faster, and it will. It has some of the best car chases around, and they've never looked so chaotically beautiful as they do on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
