Need for Speed: Pro Street Review (PS3)

Need for Speed goes legal… I have always been a fan of the Need for Speed franchise and so when I heard a new game was coming out I was naturally pleased, and couldn't wait to get my grimey hands on a copy. I rushed out on release date, and managed to get a copy to my delight.

Good graphics; Realistic damage; Good online gameplay

Repetitive; Limited events

Need For Speed ProStreet

The problem with Need For Speed ProStreet is that while it's long-lasting and can be pretty enjoyable despite the AI problems, it's also a bit by-the-numbers at times and no longer really stands out like the NFS games used to.

Need For Speed: ProStreet

It has a multitude of features that, while not new to racing games, certainly have a dramatic effect on the franchise, and it’s also more serious now. These things, surprisingly, make ProStreet the best Need For Speed game in years.

Need for Speed: ProStreet

A lot of us out there just don't give a shit about how our car looks. If we're doing our jobs as wheelmen (or wheelwomen), onlookers sh...

Lots of racing; very little filler; 32 rides to crash and pimp; Wi-Fi modes and personalized soundtracks

No Drag or Drift modes; Not all modes are available in multiplayer; Incredibly difficult at times

Last year's Need for Speed: Carbon took the series out of the sunlight and back underneath the bed covers. The underground night setting returned in full force for Carbon, much to the disappointment of those who found Most Wanted such a delight to play, as it featured a large emphasis on cops, and...

Battlefield: Bad Company 2

Overall Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a sequel worthy of taking your attention away from other shooters out there. Multiplayer and FPS fans will not be disappointed and while the single player campaign is short and sweet, it's also action packed and generally quite enjoyable.

Excellent multiplayer; Even more destruction; Excellent alternative to Call of Duty or Halo

Short single player campaign; Easy single player campaign

this game is a cheesy fun arcade game

Not what I remember on other consoles. Bought the PS3 version and it was crippled out of the box. No cheat codes work even though there's an outright option to "enter code", this miffs me off more than anything, this game is a cheesy fun arcade game, yes I expect the codes to work, just like on my...
