Need for Speed: ProStreet

A lot of us out there just don't give a shit about how our car looks. If we're doing our jobs as wheelmen (or wheelwomen), onlookers sh...

Lots of racing; very little filler; 32 rides to crash and pimp; Wi-Fi modes and personalized soundtracks

No Drag or Drift modes; Not all modes are available in multiplayer; Incredibly difficult at times

Need For Speed ProStreet

The problem with Need For Speed ProStreet is that while it's long-lasting and can be pretty enjoyable despite the AI problems, it's also a bit by-the-numbers at times and no longer really stands out like the NFS games used to.

ProStreet is a solid racing game, but it's missing most of what made the previous games in the series interesting.

Ads; sponsored achievements; and the ability to purchase cars using real cash; Missing much of the stuff that made the last few games fun; Races start to feel the same after a while; Announcers will make your ears bleed

Need for Speed: Pro Street Review (PS3)

Need for Speed goes legal… I have always been a fan of the Need for Speed franchise and so when I heard a new game was coming out I was naturally pleased, and couldn't wait to get my grimey hands on a copy. I rushed out on release date, and managed to get a copy to my delight.

Good graphics; Realistic damage; Good online gameplay

Repetitive; Limited events

Need for Speed: ProStreet

Need for Speed is one of the best selling videogame franchises available on multi-format platforms and has taken the crown of Christmas number one for many years. However the 2007 Christmas saw the first year in a while where Need for Speed failed to take this crown.

Need for Speed: Pro Street PS3 Review

They may not have been to everyone's taste, but I for one loved where the Need for Speed series was going in its last two efforts. The races were exciting, escaping the police was fun, and the overarching story was perfectly acceptable for a racer.

"NFS: Pro Street - Entirely different?"

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed that this is in the Need for Speed series. In my personal experience, Need for Speed is all about street racing, not about perfectly legit track races. But actually, that's the only disappointment this game brought me.

A bit more realistic than the previous games

Racing off the streets and on the tracks

Another Great

Need for speed is known for making great racing games and this game is no different. The street racing environment is really fun and makes for a whole different feel. The car customization is really fun and buying newer, faster cars is really fun as a goal oriented game rather than just playing for...

Need for Speed: Pro Street

What happened? Were influential road-safety campaigners putting pressure on the world's second biggest publisher? Did concerned politicians have a word in some EA bigwig's ear? Maybe the ghost of Christmas future came to some EA executive scrooge with visions of impressionable young hoodies doing...

Need For Speed Pro Street

If you have invested in previous next gen NFS titles i.e. Carbon or Most Wanted then you shouldn't be too bothered about Pro Street. Although the game has a cracking soundtrack including Klaxons and Yeah Yeah Yeah's, the game itself is not great.
