The latest in a long lived franchise screeches into town, slipping by a roadblock, dodging an EMP blast and taking a dodgy off-road shortcut. Let us forgo the clever intro and enigmatic question, let us cut to the chase – Need For Speed Hot Pursuit is a great arcade racer.
Not my type of car game, dislike being restricted to one path, and the feel of driving just didnt feel right, game quality good though
This latest incarnation of the series, entitled Hot Pursuit, puts you in the fictional yet picturesque Sea Crest County. The first time you see the landscape for itself is from the sky, looking down on the network of roads that entwine and form the game world.
Don't let the looming Wednesday release of Gran Turismo 5 distract you -- Burnout developers Criterion Games have crafted a stellar new installment in the Need for Speed franchise that should thoroughly appease high-octane arcade racing aficionados.
Incredibly exciting throughout, with a wide variety of event types; Autolog redefines the social experience for console racers; stellar presentation throughout with very accessible user interfaces
Nobody could accuse Hot Pursuit of being stingy with ideas. If it's possible within the game's very narrow framework, Hot Pursuit does it. The fictional town of Seacrest County is at once frigid mountaintop and beach resort; it's farmland and big city, motorway and dirt track, bridge and tunnel.
There are many different creative tricks game developers use to add spice into well-worn genres to keep them feeling fresh, but sometimes, it's the simplest and least-expected ideas that yield the most alluring fruit.
Creative twist on traditional tower defense; Beautifully detailed environments; Great mix of strategy and action; Controls transitioned well to the Xbox 360

I think they tried to appeal too much to every type of racer. I enjoy the game now, but only as a weekend racer where I do a couple races and then move on. If you enjoy all the different types of events, I bet this game can keep you busy for a month easily.
Fast paced, better feeling of speed/control than any NFS I had played prior, beautiful graphics, quick load times; Gold times are challenging, which I like; Online was fun, community tolerated my poor driving skills pretty well
Gets old quick; I didn't feel like I was unlocking things fast enough, even though I was getting silver most of the time; Not enough variance in car handling, or even the events; You go so fast, the tracks really didn't feel much different to me
Exhilirating, mindblowing and fun! A true NFS game with high speed pursuits, engaging combat and excellent graphics. Although lacks in split-screen support and few online players. An excellent game for movie buffs who love racing movies.
This has been played extensively since it arrived. Enjoyed by many friends and family. Delivered on time and in excellent condition. Thanks
