NBA 2K17 continues the strong legacy of the NBA 2K franchise. While it pushes the series forward the on-court moment to moment action is just beginning to show signs of age. But like Lebron, it's still the king, and for that all other sports franchises should take notes and pay attention.

HUGE step backwards from NBA 2K16. There are some nice new features in this game like league expansion in MyGM and MyLeague but the gameplay has been ruined. Fouls are completely out of control.

The answer to that question for the individual will largely depend on where exactly one's love for the game resides. Though it may not be detectable from a passing glance, it quickly becomes clear that NBA 2K17 is all about realism and authenticity.

Whilst an excellent game and very well put together, you may need to have an interest or at least a knowledge of basketball before purchasing. Though maybe technically superior to FIFA, we all know FIFA and football, which means that this game often gets overlooked when playing with friends.
