Such an enjoyable game with a great storyline, I just got the platinum trophy the other day! Really marvellous game!

I wanted to like Murdered: Soul Suspect a lot more than I actually did and I truly mean that. The game started out well with main protagonist Ronan O'Connor being violently launched out of a fourth story window then shot to death with his own gun.

There's nothing like a good murder mystery - and Murdered: Soul Suspect is nothing like a good murder mystery. It's a decent enough tale, punctuated by half-baked sleuthing, underused supernatural powers and forced stealth.

This game has one of the best stories, so far this year, and it's the best detective story ever. It's like film noir and a supernatural horror film combined. The adventure game has arguably died. With a couple of recent exceptions such as L.A. Noire and Broken Age , the genre has been left in the dust by bigger, more instantly gratifying shooters and platformers.

I purchased this game based on a couple of clips I watched on You Tube. It seemed like it would be a pretty good RPG with a decent story at the time.

If Murdered: Soul Suspect had been released in, say, 2004, gamers might be speaking about it in quiet, fond tones, reminiscing about how it broke new ground for console adventure games and presented the kind of story you didn't see often enough in those days.

An excellent premise, let down slightly by some out of place game mechanics.
