The Moto Z Play was launched in 2016 as a more affordable alternative to the Moto Z, aimed at those looking for long-lasting battery modules. The Moto Z2 Play arrived to the market while maintaining some of the same features, although it has a lower battery capacity compared to the predecessor.

It was just last year that we saw the Moto Z Play pop up on Malaysian shores, and with it was a variety of Moto Mods that did what no phone has ever done before. Delivering incredible modularity with premium level accessories, such as projectors or speakers, it was something special.

By now I suspect you may already know what my conclusion will say and you would be right. The Moto Z2 Play is a mid-range device with a mid-range processor. The display is mid-range unfortunately but the rest of the hardware is not.

The ONLY bad thing about this phone is how it lights up if it senses ANY movement nearby. Other than that, it's amazing. Easy to use and see the screen, very quick, heaps of storage!

It's been less than a year since we reviewed Motorola's innovative Moto Z and Moto Z Play modular smartphones and the accompanying Moto Mods . While we were pretty impressed, like almost anything there's always room for improvement.

Really pleased Vodafone are selling the the Moto Z2 & the added items ( MODs). I have used them and they are really great - the phone doesnt have all the added extra Android overlay software that some manufacturers put on. So its easy to use.
