Motorola Edge 20 Review

Very thin, light design; Unusually fluid 144Hz display; Decent performance from Snapdragon 778G; Flexible camera set-up;

Design unstable on flat surfaces; Camera bad in low light; No stereo speakers;

Motorola Edge 20 review

The Motorola Edge 20 is one of the few large-screen, mid-range Androids that is both thin and light. However, the camera, speaker and battery capacity are weaker than the competition’s, narrowing its appeal a little too much for comfort.

Color-rich, OLED screen; Clean, smooth software; Has a 3x zoom camera;

Small battery not a good fit for heavy users; Thin-sounding speaker; Far from the best camera in its class

Extremely Good value

A very good phone for the price - and this is coming from an ex-Google Pixel user! Excellent screen clarity, superb camera functionality and nice to hold and use. Thoroughly happy user.

Great phone

So I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and I think this is a great phone. The higher refresh rate screen is a noticeable upgrade from 60Hz, and being AMOLED is also great for image quality and power efficiency. I wouldn't mind this phone being a big larger/heavier to allow for a larger battery, though having the smallest battery in the middle phone in a line is something Motorola have done before (though 4000mAh is definitely a nice upgrade from 3200 on the G6 Plus).

Motorola Edge 20 review

The Moto Edge 20 may be the middle child in the manufacturer’s 2021 smartphone line up but its the one to pay attention to. With a great screen, good battery life, a versatile camera set up and well-crafted software, it offers a lot for the price with relatively few drawbacks.

144Hz OLED screen; Good battery life; Moto software;

Sometimes inconsistent cameras; Slightly insubstantial build quality; Mono-speaker;
