I am hoping ModNation Racers will become something of a fine wine. Sure it is enjoyable straight off the bat, but give it time, as it ages, and it will become a much better and richer experience, as more and more creators add their own tracks into the game via its powerful creation system.

Extensive character; kart and track creation; Longevity in both on and offline modes; Challenging campaign and gameplay

Give me 100ccs of Mario Kart, Stat! It seems ludicrous that as realistic racing games get better and better, the benchmark for karting games was set 17 years ago and still hasn't really been equalled or bettered, even by newer iterations of the same game.

When a game like ModNation Racers comes along, it is tempting just to write ‘go buy it' and be done. But that wouldn't create much suspense and cause you to read the full review now, would it?

Overall, I've been impressed with ModNation Racers but because of the stupidly long load times for pretty much everything you do, I've knocked my score down a bit. There is meant to be a patch coming out to solve this issue, but it'll need sorting soon because I found myself getting bored of waiting...

Play, Create and Share seems to be the latest initiative Sony is trying to push to their audience with the release of LittleBigPlanet in 2008 and now ModNation Racers, a kart racing game brings customisation options and allows you to share your creations with the world.

Racing/Customisation Madman at the wheel. Kart racing (as we know it today) has to be one of those genres that never would have existed had it not been for one seminal title. Wacky racers, impractical vehicles, weird and wonderful tracks and of course weapons about as powerful as the average...

I love a good racing game, but don't mistake this one for fast cars and speed racing! It kind of a different kettle of fish. Modnation Racers combines racing with imagination, creation and lots of personality.

It's a nice little game and can create your own courses, but it doesn't really compared to Mario Kart and with Mario Kart 8 coming to Wii U, I will be spending much more time on that as it looks fantastic and gorgeous!

Brought as a Birthday Present for my nine year old nephew and he loved it, lots of fun and up to four players!!

Don't be fooled by the demo, which makes this out to be a fairly bland and shallow racer. There's dozens of tracks and they get much more complicated. Gameplay is great, though not the best.
