This is my first purchase of a Miele and it will be my last. The suction is far too strong for carpets (on any setting) and it has pulled the carpet away from the carpet gripper. Although, strangely, it does not pick up pet fur - just pushes it around the carpet.

Having tried Vax and Dyson, I was at a loss as to which brand to try next. Good Housekeeping recommended a few Miele models so I chose this one, preferring the lifetime filter and bagless features. I also loved the colour! This vacuum scores a B on carpets whereas most are C.

Supposed to have on board tools - yes there are 2, but the upholstery brush isn't; I specifically purchased a Miele as the tools were [all] supposedly on board; I've lost this part already, somewhere in the bowels of my under stairs storage space!
