LotR mixed with Assassins Creed

An amazing game with and awesome story… cons: Sometime the battle/fight functions can be clunky and off. After a while the Uruks repeat Only 3 weapon choices Pros: Amazing story great visuals fun combat (when not be annoying) Would recommend to any assassin creed fan or Lord of the Rings!

Middle-Earth: Shadow of War Review – Brutally Engrossing and Spectacular

When Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor released in 2014 it caught a lot of people by surprise. It took ideas from other established franchises, such as a combat system similar to the Arkham series and climbing and stealth mechanics not unlike Assassins Creed, but also introduced something wholly...

Compelling story with intriguing characters; Nearly every mechanic has been improved; Combat still feels fast and fluid; Almost endless supply of unscripted moments; Bigger; more beautiful world

Some plotlines end abruptly; Captain/warchief intros interrupt action

Middle-earth: Shadow of War Review

Lord of the games

Expanded Nemesis system; Intricate and versatile skill tree; Glorious combat and movement; Siege battles are excellent; Epic story and interesting characters

Massive scale may overwhelm at first

Middle-earth: Shadow of War

We really enjoyed Shadow of Mordor when it launched back in 2014. It wasn't a perfect action-adventure, but the Nemesis system brought dynamics to the table that we'd never experienced before, and really haven't experienced since.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War

The 2014 release of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor was a roll of the dice that just barely managed to pay off. Yes, the Nemesis System was and still is a genius bit of game design, and Monolith Productions was right to stake virtually the entire success of the game on its use.

With Peter Jackson-quality production values, combat that remains engaging over dozens of hours, and a meaningful story that stays reasonably related to its beloved source material, Middle Earth: Shadow of War is a rare sequel that improves on just about every aspect of the original.
