Microsoft Surface Pro X 13" SQ1 8GB RAM 128GB SSD - LTE Capable MJX-00006 review

“Microsoft's new Surface Pro X is the 2-in-1 I've dreamed of.”

Beautiful thin-bezel display; Absurdly thin and light; New stylus is easy to charge; LTE comes standard

Pen and Type Cover not included; Microsoft's SQ1 chip must prove itself

Microsoft Surface Pro X 13" SQ1 8GB RAM 128GB SSD - LTE Capable MJX-00006 review

It's everything you love about the Surface, but with a bold new vision for the future of Windows PCs

Best looking Surface yet; Excellent standby battery; Portable tablet with full Windows 10

Limited app compatibility; Not the best performance; Pricey; especially with keyboard

Microsoft Surface Pro X 13" SQ1 8GB RAM 128GB SSD - LTE Capable MJX-00006 review

The Microsoft Surface Pro X is the first stab at the new Windows 10 on ARM platform. While Microsoft has done Windows ARM devices befor...

Outstanding hardware design; Unlocked 4G LTE SIM + eSIM; Upgradable SSD; Ten-hour battery life (ARM64); Slim Pen and keyboard are super clever; Excellent audio; display; and typing

ARM64 is confusing; Bad for gaming; No Dolby Vision or anti-glare display; Seven-hour battery life (x86)

The features of this product is immaculate. However, when im doing my work or when im on it too long, it usually freezes and it doesnt respond. Other than that, everything is awesome. So easy to download apps and really fast!

Microsoft Surface Pro X Review - Microsoft's ARM-based tablet with poor compatibility

Too many limitations. The Surface Pro X comes with an ARM-based processor and an integrated LTE modem, which is why it is an interesting device for those who appreciate portability. However, in everyday use, the combination of an ARM SoC and Windows 10 results in a lot of limitations, and the battery life is also quite poor.

The Surface Pro X could have been an exciting device, but it is not, because of severe limitations, ...

made of premium materials; good 3:2 screen; silent operation; NVMe SSD can be replaced; LTE; good front-facing camera;

severe limitations due to the ARM сhip; poor battery life; PWM flickering at low brightness levels; expensive; only 12 months of warranty;

Microsoft Surface Pro X 13" SQ1 8GB RAM 128GB SSD - LTE Capable MJX-00006 review

From the new Apple M1 powered Macs to the Microsoft Surface Pro X I've been using, ARM-based computers are the new craze in mobile computing. The Surface Pro X was Microsoft's second big consumer push to get into the ARM platform and it really nails the essentials.

Design The Surface Pro X is slim and light while still having a large display. It's a modern take on the classic Surface Pro design, and it's great., LTE Having LTE on computers is incredibly underrated and it makes the computer miles more useful and portable.

No 64 bit emulation I know it's coming, but at the time of review there is no 64 bit emulation and basically no developers are building software for Windows on ARM. It makes the Surface Pro X a pseudo Chromebook until 64 bit emulation is released.

Microsoft Surface Pro X review

The Surface Pro X is a Windows 2-in-1 that's difficult to get your head around. So long as you're comfortable with its limitations, the only real sticking point is the price as you're going to need the keyboard and Surface Slim Pen as well as the tablet itself. But for many people, there's better value and fewer compatibility issues to be found elsewhere.
