I really like the feel of the Surface Pro.

The new iteration of the Microsoft Surface Pro is a performance-oriented laptop replacement that impresses with close to 14 hours of battery life, a brilliant higher-than-full-HD screen, top-notch benchmark results, and excellent build quality.
Powerful Core i7 processor with Iris Plus graphics; Improved battery life, kickstand, keyboard cover, and Pen; Higher-than-full-HD screen resolution
Pricey; Type Cover and Pen sold separately; Lacks USB-C and Thunderbolt 3
The 2017 Surface Pro is a superb 2-in-1. It’s beautifully built and performs well. The screen is excellent and even the speakers sound good. However, it’s very expensive, especially when you add the cost of the Type Cover and – if you need one – the Surface Pen. Few should opt for the base model, and you’ll pay a heck of a lot more for a Core i7. Ultimately, while a fantastic device, it’s hard to recommend the Surface Pro unless money is no object.
To me, the Surface Pro seems like a proof of concept. Can a very powerful Windows laptop be turned into a tablet? Turns out it can. Now, it's all very well me saying, 'I can't see the point of this for most people, why wouldn't you just buy a proper laptop or a proper tablet?
Superb screen; Good battery life; Undeniably versatile
Expensive at higher specs; Keyboard costs extra and is poor; Stylus costs extra again; although it is; admittedly; excellent
A tough question. It's neither a straightforward tablet, nor a tablet/laptop hybrid. It's more ambitious. The Surface Pro is nothing less than an attempt to create the perfect PC for the ‘Post PC' era. It's a tablet you can use at home on the sofa.
Outstanding screen; Innovative design; Windows 8 at its best; Comes with Wacom digitser pen
Heat and noise; No digitiser pen storage; Woeful battery life; Shallow app store
We've used the Surface Pro series since the third generation, and there's no doubt this Surface Pro is the best one yet. It has good performance and great battery life and, because it's both a tablet and a laptop, it's a very versatile machine.
I purchased an extra power supply, docking station, display port to 4K, and pen. My only issue has been when writing. Stray marks causes pauses in recognition. It happens if you use your finger or the pen. The only solution is to exit the program and renter.
* I would like to first note that have put this review under the seller experience; however, that option is not available, since the "seller" is Microsoft/Amazon. I have purchased more than 15 Surface devices and have yet to use any warranties. These are very solid devices (5-star).
Screen freezes and flickers! Makes it impossible to use during the fault.
Microsoft's dream of merging the laptop with the tablet is realising bit by bit. The Surface Pro is a device that screams confidently that the dream has already come true. Should we pay heed though
A touchscreen display par excellence; Crisp audio; Magical accessories that complete the Surface Pro
Lukewarm performance; Cumbersome to handle at times; Those magical accessories are expensive
