The Sculpt Comfort's touch swiping complements Windows 8, but it isn't quite as useful in Windows 7. Right-handed Windows 8 users with a Bluetooth-enabled laptop should consider it; others, look elsewhere.

Contoured well for right-handed users; Tilting scroll wheel left and right quickly pans across Windows 8 Start tiles

Touch-tab swiping worked only intermittently on Windows 7; Can't set pointer speed or snap-to in the mouse setup screen

Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Keyboard Review: Split spacebar

Between creating new operating systems and tablets, Microsoft also makes keyboards and mice. A very popular product in this category is the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. Microsoft is again aiming at users looking for an ergonomic solution, with the new Sculpt Comfort Keyboard.

No-one could accuse Microsoft's hardware department of failing to support Windows 8 . As well as the much-vaunted Microsoft Surface Windows 8 tablet , Microsoft has launched a plethora of peripherals dedicated to the new OS.

Doesn't work with Windows 10

I had high hopes of this mouse as I was using a Logitech wireless mouse and wanted to free up a USB slot and remove the dongle. I already use the excellent Microsoft ergonomic Bluetooth keyboard, so thought this mouse would be the perfect solution.

This mouse is fantastic. It tracks extremely well on almost every surface and is very comfortable to use. Having Bluetooth means you can keep your USB ports free of singles, and not have to worry about losing them either.

-great tracking; -comfortable; -good battery life; -bluetooth

-expensive if not bought on sale

Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Keyboard

The Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Keyboard is a solid choice for anyone looking for a keyboard with Windows 8 hotkeys or who'd benefit from a dual-function spacebar. For everyone else, though, it's a fairly standard keyboard with a comfortable contour shape, but it could use more features, like...

Unique dual-function spacebar; Detachable padded wrist rest; Hotkeys and charm keys optimized for Windows 8

Keys aren't backlit; Requires a dongle; Batteries aren't rechargeable; Directional arrows don't scroll through the Windows 8 tiled interface

Comfortable, functional - don't buy it for Windows 10

I enjoyed using this mouse in the brief time that i had it before returning it to Amazon. It worked on many surfaces (didn't) try it on glass), the blue start screen button was cool, but...

Dedicated start button; comfortable

Dropped b/t connections

Good wireless keyboard and mouse

nice ergonomic feel, cushion for the base of hand, keys feels solid with good click to confirm key stroke. Only down side is no cap lock light to indicate caplock is on or off.

Comfortable Design; Reliable Performance
