I've been shopping around for a webcam for a while now, not wanting to spend much. I was actually quite surprised as to how good the picture quality is. The built in microphone is a plus!

The LifeCam's packaging was very nice but came with a rather spartan accompany of materials. However, Microsoft's software support was particularly good and the appropriate software, drivers and chat program were all terribly easy to find, install and easy. The LifeCam VX-5000 itself looks great.

This is a nice cam with some good features, too bad the Microsoft software does not install on Windows XP... but that is how it goes with Microsoft I think.

I bought this for my gf so that we could webchat when I am away, and from being on the other side of this webcam I can say that the picture quality is definately acceptable (better than my integrated lenovo w500 laptop webcam) especially for the price . . .

I've never spent ￡30 on a webcam before. I normally go for ￡10 smartprice version, but as I needed a microphone and the only ones in stock either locked awful or cost over ￡20 I bit the bullet and went with my flexible friend. The webcam takes still photos at 1-point-something megapixels (1280x960).

I love this webcam! I needed something easy and quick to install and this was it. The camera is extremly clear, even in the dark you still notice people. If your looking for a reliable camera this is it.

I am really satisfied with the product. Although, i wished id bought it here at MWave.com for a much lower price.
