From the start to the end this game keeps you wanting more. Big Boss has never been better and mother base has never been bigger. the metal gear series has been needing an open world and with this installment of the series we've gotten what wanted.

SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!!
It's a joke that doesn't get old. Tens and tens of hours into Metal Gear Solid V and I still occasionally let out a small snigger as I launch some poor unconscious soul hundreds of feet into the air attached to a balloon; their cheering, screaming or baaing gradually fading as they disappear into...
Following the events of Big Boss rescuing both Paz and Chico from an American black site located in Cuba, Boss, Paz and Miller are ambushed at the Mother Base to devastating effect. It is believed that a Special Forces Unit going by the name of XOF were behind the attacks.
An insane amount of variety and possibilities; a sandbox game in its finest form; The maps are HUGE in every sense of the word; Rebuilding Mother Base brings a sense of pride and ownership; this is your baby; Breathtaking visuals; Fluid and open approached lethal/non-lethal combat; Superb voice...
Could have done with an manual save function
Hideo Kojima's swansong Metal Gear is a fine game, deserving a space in your collection.
Awesome game with epic graphics and even better game mechanics. Even if you have never played a metal gear solid game before this is a must have.
(Reviewer's Note: This review covers only the single player aspect of MGS V: The Phantom Pain, as the online component, Metal Gear Online was not available at the time of this review.
Happy trails, Kojima You are logged out. Login | Sign up The principle reason I was able to acclimate so quickly is Kojima and his team have made the game fun to play almost at all times.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain ($59.99), the final Hideo Kojima-helmed game in the long-running stealth-action series, is easily the best game in the franchise—in terms of gameplay. Kojima Production's move from a linear design structure to one that's more open-world enabled the development team to create a game that involves true infiltration. That said, The Phantom Pain's story, a tale of loss and revenge, is a mixed bag. Kojima and company get lost in the themes, which results in a game that raises more questions than it answers. Still, The Phantom Pain is an achievement, and one of the best video games released for this console generation. We played The Phantom Pain on Xbox One($200.00 at eBay)(Opens in a new window), but the game's also available on PlayStation 4($799.95 at Amazon)(Opens in a new window), PC, and last-generation consoles. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's deep, open-world stealth and troop management, fun music, and excellent combat add up to an absorbing, stunning experience, despite some significant flaws.
Absorbing open-world stealth and Mother Base management; Gorgeous graphics and presentation; Enormous world to explore; Great original soundtrack and licensed 1980s music
Gross pay-to-win model for online mode; Server issues affect the single-player mode; Doesn't support custom music like the PC version; Uneven story
I have experience with MGS from MGS1, 2 played to death, MGS3 didn't like, didn't play MGS4 because of that. So when TPP was coming out I wasn't interested. I then played Ground Zeroes, read the previews/reviews of TPP and knew I had to give it a go. I was certainly not disappointed.
