The Mario Tennis franchise may not be one that generates as much anticipation as the others revolving around the moustachioed plumber. But past entries have been solid enough, offering arcade-style tennis action featuring Nintendo's familiar cast of characters.

Nintendo put in charge of Wimbledon Sounds like an entertaining idea. Cliff Richard imprisoned in a lava-filled dungeon. Andy Murray out in the second round after being devoured by a Piranha Plant.

This game is a blast to play with your family and friends locally. Swing mode got my wife's mother(62 years old) to have fun playing a video game.

Camelot Software Planning has been a stalwart developer for Nintendo over the years. Mario Tennis is perhaps their best-known Mario game (alongside Mario Golf) as they've been at the helm of the long-running sports-RPG hybrid(s) since 1999.

Playing a preview build of Mario Tennis a few weeks ago and then getting deep into the online beta, I was excited to get my hands on the final version of the game and it hasn't disappointed.

Super fun game, the more I play the more I get addicted

It goes without saying that Nintendo would bank on the success of Mario and the Switch to rake in some new fans of their Mario Tennis series. I have never been a massive fan of the series as I do not like the sport and tennis games just never appealed to me.

I admit, the game is fun if you play with more people, and I do like they keep on bringing DLC character to the game. But it feels like the game is meant for one player only. Story mode is only for 1player and it would have been better if it was a split screen.

Game is such great fun to play with either my 6 year old or 13 year old (and my 37 year old mate's played me at it too!) Yep another successful Mario Spin off game and my eldest was over the moon to get it for Christmas.
