Verdict: The UE BOOM 2 is Jeff's daily driver as far as Bluetooth speakers go. He actually used the UE BOOM before that. Safe to say he (and we) like the BOOM series. In terms of changes, the BOOM 2 has added gesture controls-so now you can tap to pause, double-tap to skip tracks, etc.

Verdict: Logitech's Ultimate Ears UE BOOM 2 is the successor to its original UE BOOM . This portable speaker fixes some of its predecessor's flaws in the audio department, but remains rather similar to the older BOOM in terms of design and outlook.

Verdict: UE has a fabulous Bluetooth speaker here. In my opinion, this one is gonna be hard to beat. I love how ruggedized the build is. A portable speaker should be able to withstand life's perils. The 360-degree sound output is also well-thought; it just makes sense.

UE Boom 2 Review: Louder and Tougher

Pros: Waterproof and drop-proof, App extends functionality, Vocals sound full and clear
Cons: Muffled speakerphone
Verdict: The Boom 2 represents an incremental upgrade over the original. The best additions are the gesture control that allows you to play and pause music without needing your mobile device, and the improved toughness.

Good speaker for the price

Verdict: It is very compact. The white is more of an off-white than a true bright white. Its VERY durable. I can use it around water and its totally fine. Has a smooth texture. The noise it makes when it turns on and is connecting through blue tooth always ends up scaring me LOL.

Excellent for outdoor use

Verdict: I use this mainly at work outdoors in all weather conditions. It has a very good battery life and is waterproof. It can be played pretty loud without distortion.

Verdict: I purchased two UE Boom 2. There is absolutely no instruction that come with them. I have an Apple 6s+ phone. I've tried both with and without app. Completely unable to pair both too work as one. Had to nephews here today to try as well. They both have UE's.

Good purchase

Verdict: Great boom! Many available base settings to choose from, including your own custom tuning option. Easy to tune to my iPhone Bluetooth. Their is an app available in most app stores to do all of the above, plus more.

"Easy to take around,good sound, easy to use"

Verdict: Good sounds but as you get into some load base, it starts to resonate a bit. Very easy to carry, tells you how much power it has and basically last me for 2 or 3 days depending on how much I play on it and what kind of music is played. It is water proof and dust proof too.
