Logitech M720 Triathlon Mouse Review

The $69.99-list Logitech M720 Triathlon Mouse is, on the surface, a great idea for a premium mouse. Programmable actions, easy-access buttons, and the ability to be used as a "multi-device" mouse set it apart. And it delivers on all that, if not quite to the same degree we expected. The Triathlon Mouse is something of a sibling to the Logitech K780 Multi-Device Keyboard ($74.63 at Amazon) , a similar general concept of input device. (It also works across three devices, including those using iOS and Android.) However, the M720 Triathlon Mouse is a Bluetooth device that works with all device types iOS ones. The omission seems strange, given that the K780 supports iOS. We had, in fact, noted in that review how we wanted the K780 to have an integrated touch pad for seamless motion keyboard control without having to finagle with and switch through two input devices. We'd hoped the M720 could fill that void, but Apple doesn't officially support mice on any iOS devices, so we can't put...

Logitech's M720 Triathlon Mouse is easy to share wirelessly across up to three computers or Android devices, but we miss support for iOS, and the scroll wheel is too sensitive.

Comfortable shape; Sturdy design; Easy-access dongle storage

Scroll wheel is a bit over-sensitive; "Multi-device" support limited to computer operating systems and recent Android, not iOS

A Comfortable and Efficient Mouse

This mouse is comfortable and light in the hand, with smooth precise scrolling and glides easily on any hard surface. The only software needed is Logitech Options if you wish to change the button designations. Battery life appears good with the battery charge still showing full after a few weeks of operation and Logitech specifying up to 2 years life with 1 AA battery. There is no lag in response with the bluetooth connection option.

Better than MX Anywhere 2S

Overall, it is very good for any kind of use (no game). Switch button on the side (not on the bottom), support flow, click feel better than mx anywhere 2s, and the padding is similar; except the darkfield sensor. The only complain is when set then mouse pointer speed to avg (mid) using logi software, the cursor tend to jump and the lower part of this product is white (black or dark grey is better).

Perfect mouse for any usage

Perfectly sized, battery super easy to find and replace, fits perfectly for people with medium to larger hand. The ability to switch between multiple devices via a physical button is proven to be very handy. All buttons are ergonomically positioned. I used it mostly for 3D works, CAD, and creative editing and it worked flawlessly. I actually prefer this mouse compared to the more expensive MX Master 2S or MX Anywhere 2S.

Solid office mouse

There are some great features on this mouse. It's got bluetooth which is a huge plus as I use it primarily with a mac. It's comfortable with good amount of buttons and it even has a thumb button I hadn't realised which is a great added bonus (mapped it to launchpad). The logitech software to map buttons works great and with both mac and windows. The only down side is the scroll wheel...it's horrible. It's too loose and the middle click only fires half the time. Even trying it for casual gaming it's practically unusable because of this. It's almost a deal breaker but I got it on sale so happy to keep it for the time being.
