Logitech G231

3.0
Verdict: The mid-range headset market is awash with very decent and less than desirable products. It's hard to innovate in this space, and judgements come down to a balance of build-quality and price. That's a sure focus of Logitech's Prodigy range at large, but while the

One Minute Review: Logitech G231 Prodigy gaming headphones

No reviews
Verdict: T he Logitech G231 Prodigy is an entry-level gaming headset with a lot going for it – clear, precise 40mm drivers, nice large and comfortable ear cups and in line controls for the mic and volume, but there are also a few real downsides that must also be considered before making a purchase.

Logitech Prodigy G231 Gaming Headset Review

No reviews
Verdict: The Prodigy G231 is the budget-minded gaming headset in the Prodigy line, and with a standard analog connection Logitech has emphasized stereo sound quality in lieu of the simulated surround effects found on their pricier G633/G933 models.

Logitech G231 Prodigy review: One more budget-friendly headset among many

No reviews
Verdict: There's been surprisingly little movement in the budget-friendly end of the headset market these past few years. HyperX released the critically acclaimed Cloud for under $100 in 2014, then followed up with the pretty solid and even cheaper $50 Cloud Stinger this year.

Logitech G231 Prodigy Gaming Headset

4.0
Verdict: Logitech's new Prodigy line of peripherals are aimed at gamers looking to get started with dedicated accessories, but daunted by the price of high-end equipment. The G231 Prodigy wired gaming headset doesn't have the plush feel or superb audio quality of the Turtle Beach Elite Pro , and is less...
Pros: Excellent sound for the price. Solid build. Includes a 3.5mm splitter
Cons: Not particularly plush or snug. In-line remote sits oddly low on the cable

Logitech G231 Prodigy review: One more budget-friendly headset among many

3.0
Verdict: The Logitech G231 isn't a bad headset by any means, but it's not going to shake up the low-end headset market.
Pros: Budget-friendly price, Comfortable diamond-shaped earcups, Delivers the headset basics well enough
Cons: Cheap-feeling mesh fabric on the ear cups, Not as modern-looking as Logitech G633 and G933, Awkward placement for in-line controls

Logitech G231 Prodigy Headset Review - OK for Beginners

3.0
Verdict: Logitech designed the whole Prodigy peripheral line from the ground up to appeal to new PC gamers, and as such, the G403 mouse and G213 keyboard are totally new designs that could really help up-and-coming players bridge the gap in a way more complicated hardware cannot.
Pros: Comfortable feel, Decent sound, Easy to use
Cons: No audio customization, Mic picks up a lot of static, Almost identical to predecessor but more expensive

Overpriced.

5.0
Verdict: I bought them for 2500 which is a fair price and that price they are definitely worth it. Now however they increased price to a whopping 5500 which is insane, this prodigy lineup is support to be budget oriented, these are based on G430 just without the 7.1 surround sound usb dongle feature and they...

Great gaming headphones

5.0
Verdict: These headphones are solid and heavier than expected. They look, feel and perform like a quality product. The sound is excellent, with deep base and clear directional sound. You can tell if the action is coming from the left or the right side of you. The wireless range is way more than I need.

Cheap, Squeaky, Poor Quality

1.0
Verdict: Spend a little more money and go with something better, I've used other Logitech headsets and liked them, but this one isn't any good.
Pros: - Low Price - Looks Good
Cons: - Poor Build Quality (Uses very light, cheap plastic. Felt like it could snap just by holding it. - Squeaky (The hinges all creak and make squeaky sounds, a little WD-40 on each fixed this, but that shouldn't be a solution. - Not plug and play

Amazing sound

5.0
Verdict: Like other reviews have mentioned, the price is amazing for this headset. The quality is extremely good and I often use them when I want to be immersed in the action. The mic is a bit awkward as it is one of those flexible mics, but the quality is very decent.

Logitech G231 - What you should know before you buy

1.0
Verdict: Pro's: Descent Comfort Audio was okay Nice Color Con's: Mic was horrible - Really low compared to my other headsets at the same volume level Mic flexibility was crap. You can only adjust it so much and getting it closer to your mouth isn't an option without duct tape.
