Technical specifications is perfect for a family living in an a flat of up to 3 rooms. The setup process was very easy, and did not took time. Signal strength is excellent covering all my home's spaces.

Design; Setup; Signal strength; Data transfer speed; Gigabit ports; Two bands (2.4 and 5 Ghz); and finally the Price

Nothing; this could be the best router for an appartment

Just say no

Router has severe connectivity issues. I have used the router for a year and there are constant problems.

Linksys EA6900 AC1900 router

This is Linksys' most important router of the year. It features an upgraded chipset enabling the company to tout ‘AC1900' speeds and finally go head-to-head with Asus' all conquering RT-AC68U .

Breathtaking wireless performance; Elegant design; Highly intuitive to setup; Industry leading UI; Notably cheaper than its nearest rival

Currently limited support for Turbo QAM; Still early days for AC1900 routers

Great upgrade from WRT54GL

I am familiar with networking equipment and manually configured the router to match the settings on my old Linksys WRT54GL. Everything connected without problem and my connections have been rock-solid with the new EA6900. VOIP calls (using Republic Wireless) seem to have better sound quality.

Can't separate guest from internal and still use web connection

Even working with the escalated support team at Linksys, we were unable to get this to work with our network. We wanted to have a separate guest WiFi experience from our internal network wireless connection. This router is supposed to support that but we were never able to get both to work.

Great first router, bad for an upgrade.

As a router its good if your buying one to start with, however expected to be a marked increase in range as an alternative to the BT home hub 4. But only slightly better. Not enough to justify the price. If you looking to better a "bog standard" router you will probably be a bit disappointed.

LINKSYS EA6900-UK Wireless Cable & Fibre Router - AC 1900, Dual-band

Good wifi coverage

Very poor and slow user interface; Has frozen several times and have had to either reboot or reset to factory settings; Settings made don't always work or slow down internet connection; Thought I was buying a top of the range Router but sadly disapointed what a waste of money

ok if it worked for more than a day!

I bought this EA6900. Took it home installed it, had a grand ol-time on it. Went to work the day, come home , No internet. Rebooted the network, still nothing! Went on Linksys.com for support, they couldn't help me. Don't know what happened but I return it.

loved that it was really fast just like the product says

Did not work for more then a day

Pros

It is a decent router for up to 3 floor house since 2.4 ghz range is good. Rarely some wi-fi drops occur but restores in seconds. Got mine at 100 for a light use environment, I would look for a more advanced model for streaming and fast data transfers.

Sleek design; decent performance; good range on 2.4GHZ

Very limited user interface, can't choose encryption method and wavelengths desired; Not compatible to open source firmware (OpenWRT, etc..

Solid Wireless AC Router

Easy to set up. Has performed flawlessly. I get 4 out of 5 bars in the far corner of the house where signal was iffy with my old router. It is supporting 3 computers, 2 printers, 2 phones, 2 tablets, and an iPod with no blips.
